Privacy
What we hold, and why.
The short version: your assets are yours, they stay in Australia, we do not sell anything to anybody, and nothing you upload is used to train any model.
What we collect
Your account. Name, email address, and optionally a phone number, a photograph and the links you choose to show colleagues. Your password is stored scrambled in a way that cannot be turned back — nobody here can read it, including us.
Your organisation. Its name, address, contact details and ABN if you give us one — the things an invoice needs.
Your assets. The files you upload and everything derived from them: thumbnails, previews, extracted metadata, coordinates, colours and tags.
Use of the service. An activity trail of what was uploaded, edited, shared and deleted, and by whom. Sign-in times and the address a request came from, kept so an administrator can answer "who did that".
What we do with it
We run the service with it, and nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers. There is no advertising on VisualIQ and no tracking scripts on these pages — no analytics beacon, no social pixel, no third-party cookies.
Automatic tagging
If tagging is switched on for your organisation, new uploads are sent to an AI provider to be described, and the tags come back to your library. The provider processes the image to answer that one request. Your assets are not used to train any model, and the tags belong to you — edit or delete them freely. Tagging can be turned off entirely in your administration screens, in which case nothing leaves our servers.
Where it lives
Assets and database are held on Australian infrastructure. Backups stay in Australia too, and nothing is copied offshore.
How long we keep it
Your assets stay until you delete them. Deleted items are recoverable for the period your administrator sets — thirty days by default — and are then removed for good. The activity trail is kept for as long as your organisation is with us, because an audit log with holes in it is not an audit log. If you leave, tell us and we will remove everything within thirty days, after giving you an export.
Cookies
One cookie, for your sign-in session, plus a note of whether you prefer the light or dark theme. That is the complete list. Neither follows you anywhere.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it removed. Your organisation's administrator can do most of this from inside the application; for the rest, write to hello@visualiq.au and a person will answer. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
If something goes wrong
If there is ever a breach that affects you, we will tell you what happened, what was exposed and what we have done — promptly, and in plain words, not buried in a status page.
